The Lodge

Positioned above Lake Taupo overlooking the lake and mountains, the lodge epitomises luxury living and offers guests convivial, yet private, accommodation with the very best traditional New Zealand hospitality.

The Lodge comprises three guest rooms, two of which have sweeping views over the lake to the mountains of the Tongariro National Park, a private guest library upstairs plus further lounges downstairs. Point View is an outstanding lodge.

The delightful small bush walk within the grounds enables guests to enjoy a little of a New Zealand native bush experience. There are many other areas within the grounds for guests to enjoy a variety of peaceful places to walk, read and relax, including a covered naturally heated mineral pool. A huge deck opens off the downstairs lounge facing the lake and here you can relax and watch breathtaking sunsets while enjoying your evening drinks.

Dining at Point View is upon request and you will be provided with first class cuisine using only the freshest and best of ingredients, all served with fine local wines. Breakfasts and dinners are served in either the intimate formal dining room surrounded with stunning New Zealand art or alfresco in the garden courtyard.

The lodge sits gracefully in expansive lawns behind private security gates and has been purpose built for guest accommodation. Sun-drenched courtyards and decks enhance the privacy and the relaxing feel of the property.

Point View Lodge welcomes children over 12, however, all children welcome on an exclusive use basis. Smoking is only permitted in the grounds of Point View.
